Act with us
ECCJ is preparing to launch a European wide campaign aimed at raising public awareness in Europe about the issue of corporate misconduct of European companies abroad. Moreover, we want to pressure political decision makers to take an active stance and thus to introduce binding legal measures that ensure corporate accountability.

The pre-campaign work has started at the Conference "Smart regulation: Legislative opportunities for the EU to improve corporate accountability" that took place at the European Parliament in Brussels on 29th May 2008.
After comprehensive legal research and by advancing some of the European Parliaments’ recommendations of its resolution on CSR, ECCJ together with MEPs, lawyers, and representatives of the civil society, will present a range of proposals that aim at strengthening EU legislation to provide greater accountability for EU companies when acting abroad.
The campaign will include various seminars, conferences and actions aimed at raising public awareness in differnet European countries. Please check our upcoming events section to stay informed.
If you want to be informed about activities around the issue of corporate accountability in your own country, please refer to the homepage of your ECCJ member organisation.
